Lake Mead Cruises
It is hard to think of a better way to spend a beautiful day than on a cruise of Lake Mead out in the glorious sunshine and fresh air aboard the Desert Princess, an authentic paddle wheeler. The Princess has three levels and an open promenade deck with lots of walking around room and outdoor space, as well as two decks that are climate controlled to make your lake tour the best that it can be. She looks just like an old-fashioned paddle wheeler similar to the type they used to have in the Old South and The Princess is slow moving so it is nothing but pure enjoyment. Your cruise is accompanied by a narration pointing out various items of interest.
Lake Mead Cruises offers your choice of a champagne brunch cruise, midday sightseeing or dinner cruise and there is a grill and full-sized bar onboard as well as a snack shop. The champagne brunch is served buffet style and includes all your favorites, including bacon and eggs, French toast and eggs Benedict. The 3-course dinner offers a delicious grilled garlic and herb chicken and the pepper top sirloin steak is fragrant and tender. The broiled salmon is seasoned with just the right amount of lemon pepper and there is Tuscan fettuccini. There is a children’s menu also. The staff is just wonderful – outgoing and helpful – and you will find the food delicious and well-prepared.
Lake Mead Cruises offers pickup and return transportation from Caesars, Circus Circus, Excalibur, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, The D and Treasure Island. If your hotel is not listed, you can just go to the closest one for pick up. Camera buff alert – you will want to bring your camera along to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and Hoover dam.
