Now you can see Cosby do what he does best. His show at TI (Treasure Island) on July 18 and his return on Sept. 26 and Nov. 28 will delight fans and initiate the un-Cosbyed, if that’s possible, to this amazing legend. When Bill Cosby first took the stage at the Hungry i in North Beach, San Francisco, he never imagined the heights to which his career would take him, but maybe his audience did. He certainly stood shoulder to shoulder with fellow comics such as Lenny Bruce, Dick Cavett and Ronnie Schell.

As a standup comic, Bill Cosby gained national exposure on the Tonight Show in ’63 and made the first in a series of hilarious albums starting in 1964. Now all these years later, he’s still standing in front of the audience weaving stories the way only William Henry Cosby can, and Las Vegans are buying the tickets in droves. If you’d like one, hurry up.

His role in the 1960 series “I Spy,” alongside Robert Culp, started the TV ball rolling, and it never stopped. A native of Philly, Cosby won a ratings war with “The Bill Cosby Show,” but it was with “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids,” which mirrored his childhood, where Cosby made a lasting and unprecedented impression on an entire generation. Three hysterical movies with fellow actor Sidney Poitier, as well as “California Suite,” led the way to the “The Cosby Show,” one of the best and brightest sitcoms ever on TV. It cast Cosby as a family guy who was intelligent, successful and the father of five kids. No one can hear the word Jello without thinking of Cosby’s Jello Pudding commercials.
