Comic Con – Las Vegas
Once again, it’s time to dust off your favorite superhero costume and head to Comic-Con in Las Vegas for the June 20-22 cosplay spectacular at South Point Casino. As you all know, Comic-Con is the biggest gathering of comic pros and fans in the country. With the newest X-Men movie slated to hit the theaters this summer, this is your opportunity to meet the creators, and George Perez rarely makes it to the west coast area but he will certainly be in Las Vegas. On kid’s day, Sunday June 22, Mat Nastos, writer and artist for Phineas & Ferb, will be sketching free pics for kids under 10. There will be great gift bags with lots of comic goodies from Batman Zero Year to a Spider-Man #1 variant by Humberto Ramos.
Special guests so far are Greg Capullo of X-Force and Batman fame, Rick Remender of the Punisher series, Humberto Ramos and Ryan Stegman of Spider-man fame, Skottie Young of Marvel Now!, Gerry Dugan and Rob Liefield of Deadpool, Jessica Nigri of Cosplay Superstar, Mat Nastos of Phineas & Farb and Tony Fleecs of My Little Pony. Len Wein, the creator of the Modern X-Men will be there and this will be the first appearance in Las Vegas Comic-Con of Jim Valentino, of Guardians of the Galaxy.
What a great opportunity to see your favorite comic creators, get their autographs and show off your cosplay style than at this year’s Comic-Con Las Vegas. Remember to take advantage of the Cosplay Lounge. Masks and makeup are not allowed on the casino floor and guns, knives and other similar types of costume props are not allowed. If you have to question whether what you are bringing along is okay, then it is better to leave it at home. Otherwise, get your costume ready. Comic-Con and Las Vegas are waiting for you.
