What better place to celebrate Independence Day than a city such as Vegas that makes people feel so patriotic and free and alive? A city where people truly understand the pursuit of happiness. Many 4th of July events exist in Vegas, almost too many to count. Here are a few highlights:

Pool parties such as Rehab, Marquee, and Encore Beach club will have the mega crowds, but be prepared to part with some decent change to get into these venues and buy drinks. These events will have blaring loud music and a younger crowd, so it will be a great party atmosphere!

Fireworks from the Roman Towers of Caesar’s Palace are an iconic main staple of this holiday and can be viewed from all around the Strip, but the best vantage point would obviously be the front fountains of Caesar’s. You almost won’t be able to avoid them if you tried.

Lake Las Vegas in Henderson will have fireworks at 9pm and will have events running from 6-10pm, including food and music. This would be a great way to get out of the city for an evening and be away from the masses in a slightly quieter setting.

For the families, Symphony Park may be a good option. The Las Vegas Philharmonics will perform at 7:30pm in Reynolds Hall, with fireworks taking place at 9:30pm right in the heart of downtown. Entrance will cost ten dollars for adults and five for children.

There will also be many famous DJs and musicians, including Macklemore, Dillon Francis, Afrojack, and Gareth Emery spinning at the pools on this particular 4th. You’ll see signs everywhere for these guys, but tickets may sell out quickly.

Some miscellaneous 4th of July tips:

Book your accommodations well in advance. It will be crowded, and room rates will go up in a hurry, so if you find a good deal then snap it up as soon as you know you are going to go.

Reserve tables for restaurants over the phone or online even if you are unaccustomed to doing so or don’t think you need to, or you may find yourself with a hefty wait time on this spectacular evening!

Keep hydrated and cool if you attend one of the outdoors events. It will be very hot, probably over 100 degrees, and dry, and many 4th of July events do take place outdoors to some capacity. Don’t forget to drink water!

Scout out your firework vantage point earlier than later so you’re not inundated and boxed out by the crowds! Find a spot, post up, and just kick back until it gets dark. Enjoy the shows!
