Ice in the Desert?

Here’s an idea for keeping cool and having some fun in Las Vegas: ice skating! Yes, it’s true, you can strap on a pair of skates and hit the ice all year round, even when the temperature outside soars past the hundred degree mark thanks to the Las Vegas Ice Center.

The Las Vegas Ice Center is the perfect place for skaters of all ages and experience levels. It offers everything from beginner classes for kids all the way to a competitive adult hockey league. There are several hours of public skating offered each and every day, and the price is only $10 a person, or just eight bucks per person if you bring your own skates! And kids under five? They’re just six dollars each, and that includes skate rental. Heck, it’s worth it to pay that much just to beat the heat!

The Las Vegas Ice Center is also a great place to plan parties and special events. They have plural package deals that come with plenty of time on the ice, food and beverages, and private rooms for your group all for highly affordable rates. A two hour party for ten people, complete with food and refreshments (and of course ice skating!) will cost you only $159.

For those interested in more advanced figure skating or in competitive hockey, try out the “Skating Academy Footwork” classes, the “Hockey 123” program, or any of the many classes offered at the Ice Center. You can also come here not to skate yourself, but to watch figure skating routines and competitions or to see semi-professional hockey teams battle it out on the ice.

And hey, you’ve always wanted to learn how to curl, right? Well this is the place to do that, too!
