Everyone loves a nice coffeehouse, but with a Starbucks on every block sometimes a nice change of pace is needed. At the Beat Coffeehouse, they liven up the place with free shows and food that isn’t only served to go.

One aspect that gets forgotten from the number one visitors’ destination in the world is that people actually live in Las Vegas too. The Beat Coffeehouse is an establishment that caters to locals by supporting local bands, serving independent coffee and handcrafted food. It’s a place to have a meeting with the friend, but also a destination to get some work done while grabbing a nice bite to eat.

The sandwiches and sides like the veggie and hummus are great. They put a lot of detail into their food and it’s a reason why many become loyal fans. Of course you can order coffee and for the night crowd they serve beer after 7 PM.

It definitely has a hipster, vintage feel to it because they still use records and it’s decorated that way throughout the store. It’s a nice change of pace from the chain coffee places where you can guess what’s on the walls. The artsy feel does attract a more creative crowd, but that’s the vibe they’ve created and stuck to it nicely. They also have a games area so you can go old school and play a board game that doesn’t need to be downloaded on your phone. Some coffeehouses are created to change tables quickly, but you get the feel here that they welcome you and prefer you stay a while.
