Any sports fan that winds up in Vegas needs to hit Lagasse’s Stadium. It is the pinnacle place to post up and survey an afternoon full of sporting events. Not just a bar, and not only a restaurant, it’s neither and both all at once. The name itself is only slightly deceptive. The best part of all is that the venue possesses actual stadium seating adorned with cushions and sofas, usually with a table-full of appetizers on hand.

The venue itself is located within the confines of Palazzo, which can sometimes be difficult to maneuver through without getting lost. If you cab to the Venetian instead, you will have a smallish hike to embark on before you find the place. The fastest way is actually to exit the Venetian on the street side and use the walkway into the Palazzo rather than the corridors inside. Once there, sports fans are privy to a wide range of seating arrangements and a great sports-watching experience. You can sit at a table like in a restaurant. You can sit at the bar and take in an entire eyeful of TV screens. If you call ahead and reserve, or get lucky on the day of, you can sit in a private booth area with personal TV’s or have the epic privilege of sitting in the stadium style seating in which the seats grow progressively higher as the rows go back. Definitely consider calling in advance, especially with a party of 6+. The place gets packed on NFL Sundays, March Madness time, and really any playoff season.

Settle back on a game day or even just a normal Sunday Funday afternoon and order some appetizers for the table and a bucket of beers. The pork nachos are a well-known favorite and a must-try. Stacked to the heavens, the size is big enough such that two or three can split it and barely finish. It can be split up among four people easily. Beer buckets are pretty reasonably priced as well and come in many shapes and sizes.

If that’s not enough, Lagasse’s Stadium has its own sports book. So you can go bet on the games mid-bite. The cage is walking distance to the tables. A side room of table games nestled next to the restrooms may be tempting. Therein lies the possibility of winning the lunch tab on a hand of blackjack on the way back from the bathroom.
