The LINQ
Energizing the Las Vegas Strip with a new found energy and vibe is the highly awaited LINQ complex, a project that cost half a billion dollars in the making.
The easiest way to find the complex is to walk towards the High Roller, which is a gigantic Ferris wheel. It is the largest Ferris wheel in the world. All in all it stands over 550 feet and the entire ride takes nearly half an hour to a complete loop. This isn’t your county fair’s Ferris wheel. Tickets for the Ferris wheel are expected to go around the $25-30 range, and it is scheduled to open in spring of this year.
LINQ is ensconced between the Flamingo and The Quad, and has been opened in phases. Many shops, boutiques, and food stops will be augmented into the already hectic Vegas Strip, ranging from main staples such as Starbucks. There is also ample opportunities for those with a sweet tooth, with Ghirardelli and Sprinkles Cupcakes leading the way in that department.
The complex is home to unique women’s clothing shops along with new bars and clubs. One such bar venue is Brooklyn Bowl, which is a bowling alley and concert venue mashed into one. There are nearly three-dozen lanes to bowl on, and the concert hall can hold almost two thousand visitors.
LINQ is also home to the revitalized O’Shea’s, which any 20-something should know.
Vegas has never lacked in shopping, dining, and nightlife, but now there is an epicenter of fresh new action in LINQ that combines all three and brings a new dimension to what the Strip already offers. Look for the LINQ complex to carry its momentum through the opening months of spring this year and continue to expand well into the future with a new influx of options for Vegas-goers.
